Advanced Minesweeper: 24×16, 70 mines

A step between Intermediate and Expert: as high as Intermediate and half as wide again, 384 cells with 70 mines, about 18%. The mines stand noticeably closer than on Intermediate.

Patterns from two numbers come up in almost every game here, and the numbers 3 and 4 are common. A good habit: after every flag, check the numbers next to it, because a flag turns a 2 into a 1 and often opens the next step.

How to play Minesweeper

Mines are hidden under the cells of the board. The goal is to open every cell without a mine. Each number shows how many mines are in the eight cells around it, and from these numbers you can tell exactly where a mine is and where it is safe. In detail: rules and techniques with examples →
